Jesus did die for our sin, but not as a Sin Offering. The Father brought forth the Son on the first day of Creation Week, He lived as a human man, then laid down His life. Jesus was without sin so “Death” (or Sheol/heart of the earth) could not hold Him. He was resurrected and presented His body to the Father. The Father accepted Him and reenstated Him back into the Elohim Family and seated Him on the Fathers right hand, gave Him all authority, and He is now High Priest for mankind after the order of Melki-Zadok.
What was Jesus doing on the cross? People have made these claims:
Penal Substitutionary Atonement
Vicarious Atonement
Christus Victor
Moral Influence Theory
Ransom Theory
Governmental Theory
Satisfaction Theory
Recapitulation Theory
Healing or Therapeutic Theory
But, could it be something else? Something that doesn’t come through the Catholic Church or her harlot daughter religions?
LET’S ASK SOME QUESTIONS:
Did the Father HAVE to kill His Son to forgive you of your sin?
Why can’t God just simply forgive you without killing anyone?
A1: Jesus forgave sin BEFORE He was crucified on the cross.
Mat 9:1 And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
Mat 9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
Mat 9:3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
Mat 9:4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
Mat 9:5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
Mat 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
Mat 9:7 And he arose, and departed to his house.
Mat 9:8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
Luk 7:47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
Luk 7:48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
Luk 7:49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
Luk 7:50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
Joh 8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
Joh 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Luk 23:39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
Luk 23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
Luk 23:41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
Luk 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
Luk 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee today, thou shalt be with me in paradise.
Luk 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
A2: After every Sin-Offering in the Old Testament the Father was forgiving them of sin. Not some “cheaper” form of Forgiveness… but real, full, Forgiveness from God the Father.
Lev_4:26 And he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall make an atonement for him as concerning his sin, and it shall be forgiven him.
Lev_4:31 And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.
Lev_4:35 And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall make an atonement for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be forgiven him.
Lev_5:10 And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he hath sinned, and it shall be forgiven him.
Lev_5:13 And the priest shall make an atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him: and the remnant shall be the priest’s, as a meat offering.
Lev_5:16 And he shall make amends for the harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.
Lev_5:18 And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he erred and wist it not, and it shall be forgiven him.
Lev_6:7 And the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in trespassing therein.
Lev_19:22 And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.
Num_15:28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.
A3: It is a sin to punish one person for the crime of another
Jer 31:30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.
Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
A4: There is no “Hata”/ Sin-offering done outside the Temple, much less outside the city gates. There is no “Sin-offering” done by Non-Levitical Priests.
Basic steps of a sin offering, they are much more detailed and complex than the outline, but will give a basic view of the duties of the Levitical Priesthood.
- The sinner confessed their sins over the animal’s head.
- The animal was killed on the north side of the altar.
- The priest took some of the blood and put it on the horns of the altar.
- The priest sprinkled some of the blood inside the tabernacle or before the mercy-seat.
- The rest of the blood was poured at the base of the altar.
- The fat of the animal was burned on the altar.
- The body of the animal was burned outside the camp or eaten by priests.
BIBLICAL SOTERIOLOGY:
Jesus laid down His life at Calvary for the purpose of becoming our HIGH PRIEST after the order of Melchizedek. Jesus was not a Levite, therefore he doesn’t qualify to be an earthly Priest. His spilt blood represents his sinless life. The week before Passover (day he was crucified), he went to Jerusalem to be examined by the High Priest, all the Levitical Priests, all the Judeans, and the “Gentiles” including the governor and Romans. Yet nobody could bring an accusation against him for breaking the Law of God. He was found to be without SPOT or BLEMISH for all who examined him.
Jesus was our Passover Lamb slain on the foundations of the earth. He has risen and presented his body to the Father to be accepted on Wave Sheaf Offering Day. the Father made him King and Priest (Melki-Zadok) over all heaven and earth.
