Serpent Seed Doctrine Examined Biblically

--[ 3 MIN READ]

The God Culture is a J-woke bible ministry. They are Torah observant and conscious of the Satanic Jews influence on modern bibles.

This teaching series covers “proof scriptures” that claim Eve had sex with a snake in the garden of Eden and produced the first Nephilim. But take a look at what the scripture actually says and the truth of this issue is very easy to see.

The Earliest Teaching:

Valentinus (100–160) states that Eve mated with a serpent and produced Cain, thus promoting a doctrine similar to that of the serpent seed. In his teaching, the serpent was an eternal manifestation named Sophia who tempted Eve. Valentinus’ teachings are summarized in Philip’s Gnostic Gospel (c. 350), which first expresses the idea that Eve mated with the serpent, Satan, to produce Cain. A similar account is recorded in the Gnostic John’s Apocrypha, written by the Setians (ca. 180 AD). First the adultery happened, then the murder. And he (Cain) was born of adultery, for he (Cain) was the son of a serpent. So he became a murderer like his father and killed his brother. In fact, any sexual act between dissimilar persons is adultery. Irenaeus recorded some of its teachings and denounced them as heresy in his book Against Heresy. Explaining and commenting on Valentinus’ teachings, Irenaeus says: [They] devised a plan to use the serpent to tempt Eve and Adam… This one (Eve) sinned by committing adultery… Such is the opinion among these people. It is widespread in , generated a many-headed beast from the school of Valentinus.

From Mid-Evil Judaism:

This teaching also appeared in medieval Judea. In his 1957 book Cain: Son of the Serpent, David Max Eichhorn formulated the belief that Cain was the son of the union of the serpent and Eve, between 800 AD and his 1200 AD. It dates back to the early Jewish midrash texts that were written. Eichhorn identified rabbis who wrote on the subject, including a book published in the ninth century titled Pirque de Rabbi Eliezer and the Zohar. In their version, Adam’s first wife was Lilith, and his second wife was Eve. Possessed by the spirit of God’s wife, Lilith rebelled against Adam and became the mother of all demons. Eve was then seduced by a serpent and became the mother of an evil human race. A later folk version of the Serpent Seed doctrine spread to some extent in medieval European Christianity, citing the ancestors of legendary monsters like Grendel as Cain. The Aramaic Talgam False Jonathan contains passages that refer to the concept of serpent species. Talgam was mentioned by Rabbi Menachem Recanati (1250–1310) in the Perush al-Ha Torah. There is some debate as to when it was written. A 2006 analysis by Beverly Mortensen dates the Targum Pseudo-Jonathan to the 4th century and is considered a Cohanim manual. Gavin McDowell’s analysis suggests that the document was written in the early 1200s, as it contains excerpts from writings from the 1100s. In the Targum Pseudo-Jonathan, the serpent is an angelic being named Samael. And the woman saw Samael, the angel of death, and was terrified. Yet she knew that the tree was good to eat, a medicine to enlighten the eye, and a desirable tree for understanding it. And she took the fruit and ate it. And she gave them together to her husband, and he ate. And again, with Targum pseudo-Jonathan.. And Adam knew his wife, Hava, who wanted an angel. And she conceived and gave birth to Cain. And she said, “I got a man, an angel of the Lord.” So Adam knew his wife Eve/Hava, who wanted an angel (Samael), also called “the serpent, the devil and the destroyer” in Jewish and Talmudic lore. And she gave birth to Kane. One theory holds that Samael is Cain’s father and Lilith’s partner. The relationship between Samael and Lilith is depicted on the official emblem of the Church of Satan, the Sigil of Baphomet.
